Safety.
Safety is a top management commitment at RECON. Every new employee is hired with the expectation that safe work practices are a condition of employment. All employees receive safety orientation training as well as appropriate task and site specific training in OSHA & MSHA regulations, first aid, respiratory protection, and safe equipment operation.
RECON employs full-time safety professionals who are certified to instruct in all areas of safety for the petrochemical and mining industries. In addition, all Project Supervisors are given primary responsibility to enforce all safety programs, conduct regularly scheduled audits, and receive supervisor safety training.
RECON commits itself to providing a safe and healthful work environment for all of our employees. 2009
- ExxonMobil - Torrance Refinery Gold Safety Award
Recon received a Gold Level Refinery Safety Award from ExxonMobil - Torrance Refinery, Torrance, California for 105,000+ work hours w/o an OSHA recordable injury or illness.
- Associated Builders and Constructors' STEP (Safety Training and Evaluation Process) Gold Level Award
Recon received a Gold Level STEP Award for the quality of our safety program.
2008
- NPRA (National Petrochemical and Refiners Association) Contractor Award for Meritorious Safety Performance
Recon received a nomination from BP - Carson Business Unit (CBU) Carson, California for 38,000+ work hours w/o an OSHA recordable injury or illness.
